Applicability in Requirements Module
The "Applicability" attribute within the Valispace Requirements module allows users to define which component types are relevant to a particular requirement. This is especially useful during the V-cycle, where requirements may only apply to certain variants, products, or specific types of components such as electronics or mechanical systems.
For example, a requirement might apply to a specific product variant and its associated electronic components. The Applicability field allows users to specify this relationship, ensuring that the requirement is accurately linked to the relevant components.
How to Assign Component Types to a Requirement
Navigate to the Requirements module.
Locate the requirement you want to modify and click on the cell in the "Applicability" column.
A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to select one or more component types that apply to the requirement.
Once the selection is made, the requirement will be associated with the chosen component types.
This feature provides flexibility in managing requirements based on product configuration or component type, ensuring more accurate tracking and alignment throughout development.
You can refer to the article on how to create the component types.
